Privacy Policy

• Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed by our authentication provider).
• Portfolio data you enter: properties, tenants (name, email, phone, lease terms, rent and deposit amounts), payments, expenses, maintenance issues and photos, meter readings, and messages between landlords and tenants.
• Documents you upload or generate, including e-signed contracts and their signature audit trail (signer identity, IP address, timestamp).
• Billing data: plan, subscription status, and invoices (card details are handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers).
• Content you send to the optional AI assistant (your prompts and the portfolio context needed to answer them).
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser) generated by using the service.

• To provide the service you signed up for — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To process payments and issue invoices — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and contract.
• To send service emails (rent reminders, overdue alerts, lease expiry, account and billing notices) — contract and, for optional notifications, your preferences.
• To keep the service secure and improve it — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We use the following processors to run Rentlira. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing and tax handling.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails (reminders, alerts, notices).
• Google (Gemini API) — powers the optional AI property assistant and AI-drafted contract text. Prompts and the portfolio context you send it are processed by Google to generate a response.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. the US). Where that happens, we rely on their Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards. We don't sell your data.

We keep account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet accounting, tax and legal retention obligations (invoices are generally kept for the statutory period required under Hungarian tax law). You can request earlier deletion as described below, subject to those obligations.

Under GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact us via the in-app Support page to exercise these rights. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), naih.hu, or your local supervisory authority.

Data is encrypted in transit and access to your data is restricted by row-level security so that landlords, staff and tenants only see the data relevant to them. No system is perfectly secure; we ask that you also use a strong, unique password.

Rentlira is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice.
